 2010 2009 2008 2007 2006 2005 2004 July 25, 2007 - MCOM announced today the new HOTstream TV central management module 3.5 that enables the hoteliers to keep their existing TV sets or select their new ones not only from hotel TV models, but also from any market TV set broadening choices and decreasing costs. With the HOTstream TV central management module, any market TV set can be used as an interactive TV set connected to the HOTstream platform. Also for specific TV models that permit it, this HOTstream module offers centralized TV channel tuning functions as well as personalization services such as reordering of the channels depending on guest nationality or profile. June 1, 2007 - Three new hotels selected the HOTstream Basic 3.5 platform for their Pay TV, Video On Demand and Internet TV in-room services: Sew View Hotel in Zakynthos in the Ionian Islands, Erika Hotel in Alexandroupoli, Thrace and Belle Helene Hotel in Gytheio, Peloponnese. The HOTstream Basic platform represents an affordable option for hotels to offer next-generation IPTV and VOD services to their guests. March 14, 2007 - VIVODI and MCOM introduce IPTV to the Greek Public – VIVODI Telecom, the first Broadband Operator offering triple-play services in the Greek market, has introduced live IPTV and Video-On-Demand services over the largest private ADSL2+ telecommunication network in Greece, with the support of Media Communications (MCOM), the leading Greek IPTV technology provider. VIVODI Telecom launched the commercial IPTV service called "cableTV by Vivodi" in February 2007. CableTV redefines telecommunications and entertainment consumer services, providing landline telephony with unlimited urban and long distance calls, high-speed Broadband Internet up to 20Mbps and digital television services with MPEG-4/VC-1 encoding . The cableTV service uses MEDIAstream, a next-generation IPTV platform by MCOM, featuring digital Multichannel TV and Video-On-Demand services over Broadband IP. MCOM MEDIAstream uses today’s state-of-the-art advanced video components for content encoding (MPEG-4/VC-1) as well as Microsofts’s Digital Rights Management technologies for content protection. MCOM provides to Vivodi all IPTV backoffice, distribution and middleware software components, set-top-boxes, TV guides, professional services to integrate and commission the platform well as support and content encoding services. February 20, 2007 - Millennium Hotel Doha in Qatar installed the HOTstream Standard platform. The band new Millennium Hotel is located on Al Saad St in Doha and has 226 rooms including 41 luxury suites. January 11, 2007 - Splendid Hotel in Montenegro installed the new 3.5 edition of the HOTstream Seven Stars in-room infotainment platform, which includes the industry-first multilingual subtitling Video On Demand service that allows guests from different nationalities to enjoy equally the movies.
