November 16, 2006 - Media Communications presents the new version 3.5 of HOTstream™ for all services bouquets (Basic, Standard, Seven Stars) at the 38th International Tourism Industry Exhibition XENIA, at our kiosk, (A2, room 3). The new version of HOTstream™ platform includes for the first time in the worldwide tourist industry a multilingual subtitles service for all VOD movies, which allows the visitors to watch any movie they wish at the language of their preference. We will also present our new best movies list by the most important Hollywood studios (Universal, Paramount, Dreamworks, Playboy) and the independent European cinema (Odeon), which are now available at the hotels shortly after their theatrical release. August 1, 2006 - Grand Resort Lagonissi also installed the upgraded MCOM HOTstream platform, the most intergraded product in the field of audiovisual infotainment for hotels. July 3, 2006 - Media Communications S.A. (MCOM) is supplying and encoding the movie trailers for the new theatrical and DVD releases that are included in www.zuper.gr, the new broadband content portal, created by the Greek Telco (OTE) and OTEnet. June 22, 2006 - The new version 3.5 of the MCOM HOTstream Interactive TV hospitality platform has been released for all service packages, Basic, Standard and Seven Stars. The new version includes upgrades of existing features and the introduction of additional services including an industry first multilingual subtitling service. In more detail HOTstream 3.5 TV Guide is now offered in Greek, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Serbian. The hotel guest has now the possibility to move on to a specific minute of the movie or continue from the last stop. The most important addition is the HOTstream Video On Demand multilingual subtitling service, for the first time in the hospitality industry. The hotel guest has now the option to view a Video On Demand movie with subtitles in a variety of languages. June 19, 2006 - The dynamic collaboration between the International Airport of Athens and Media Communications S.A. that began in November 2005 was extended in new levels of services. Through the two MCOM platforms, BIZstream, for Digital Signage, and MEDIAstream, for IPTV services, Athens International Airport is enabled to provide both the passengers and the airport community with advanced information and entertainment services via an ultramodern network of data, voice and video (triple play). Furthermore, the installation supports for the first time in Greece the management and transmission of High Definition TV signals, also enabled by MCOM. June 10, 2006 – Pelican Bay Art Hotel is the first hotel in Mykonos that has installed the MCOM HOTstream platform, in order to provide its guests with high quality interactive TV services (Hotel Interactive TV, Video On Demand, Pay TV and Internet). January 24, 2006 - MCOM announced its participation in the 37th International Tourism Industry Exhibition, XENIA, in former Eastern Airport (Ellinikon) from 27 to 30 of January at booth 1A/16. MCOM will demonstrate HOTstream, luxury in-room entertainement platform for hotels. January 18, 2006 - MCOM announced its participation in Exclusive Travel, The Luxury Travel & Tourism Event in Helexpo Palace from 20 to 22 of January. MCOM will demonstrate HOTstream, the Interactive Pay TV solution for hotels. |
